A welcome letter from the Pastor: It is our hope that this web site gives you a flavor of who we are and information about our ministries. At Tomahawk Baptist Church we have served Jesus Christ as a "People of Hope" since 1776, through Worship, Missions, Discipleship, Proclamation, and Relationships. In a busy and ever-changing world, we strive to be a haven of stability. In a world that is often selfish, we seek to reach out with the Good News about the life-changing power of Jesus Christ. Into lives that need a focus, we offer direction that comes from knowing God through Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit.
Tomahawk is a church that is large enough to offer a number of ministry options to allow you to use yours gifts and talents. We offer small groups that will give you an opportunity to build healthy, solid relationships. We gather each week for worship and Bible Study on Sundays and for fellowship, Bible Study, mission and music ministries every Wednesday evening. We believe in hands-on mission experiences as well as regular support of our mission partners: the Middle District Baptist Association, the Baptist General Association of Virginia, and the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship.
